Paphiopedilum exul (Ridley) Kerchove
- Described: Ridley in Gardener's Chronicle, 3rd series, 10: 94 (1891), based on plants sent to Singapore from southern Thailand
- Transferred: Kerchove in Le Livre des Orchidees, 478 (1894)
- Etymology: Derived from the latin exsilium, meaning exiled; named for its geographical separation from typical habitats of P. insigne, of which it was first described as a variety.

Plant Habit
- Leaves: 4-5, 15-35 cm long, 1.5-3 cm wide, above bright- to yellow-green, below keeled
- Inflorescence: 1-flowered, 13-18 cm long, green, shortly purple-pubescent
