Phragmipedium schlimii (Linden & Reichenbach fil.) Rolfe
- Described: Linden & Reichenbach fil. in Bonplandia, 2: 277 (1854) and Xenia Orchidacea, 1: 125, tb. 44 (1854)
- Transferred: Rolfe in Orchid Review, 4: 332 (1896)
- Etymology: Named for its discoverer, Louis Schlim.
- History: Phrag. schlimii was discovered in 1852 by one of J.J. Linden's collectors near Ocana in New Granada (now Colombia). It first flowered in the Linden establishment in 1854.

Plant Habit
- Leaves: 4-6, 10-30 cm long, pale green, sometimes with purple at the base
- Inflorescence: 1-10 flowered, sometimes branched, blooming sequentially, 10-30 cm long, purple, sparsely hirsute
- Bloom: 4-6 cm wide
