Paphiopedilum villosum var. boxallii (Reichenbach fil.) Pfitzer
- Described: Reichenbach fil. in Gardener's Chronicle, 2nd series, 7: 367 (1877) - based on a plant probably collected from the Tongku District of Burma
- Transferred: Pfitzer in Engler & Prantl, Die naturlichen Pflanzenfamilien, II, (6): 83 (1888)
- Etymology: Named for William Boxall, who discovered it in 1877 while collecting for Messrs. Hugh Low & Co.
- Synonyms:
Cypripedium villosum var. atratum Masters in Gardener's Chronicle, 3rd series, 1: 210, fig. 47 (1887)
Cypripedium dilectum Reichenbach fil. in Gardener's Chronicle, 3rd series, 3: 330-331 (1888)
Plant Habit
- Bloom: differs from the typical variety in having a heavily spotted dorsal sepal, more strongly marked petals, a more acuminate dorsal sepal and floral parts which are generally more narrow at the base
Habitat Data
- Distribution - found within the northeastern portion of the range of Paph. villosum

- Ecology: similar to that of the typical form
